Watch out from temptation via prayer

Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Yesterday we had a message where Paul told us to watch and increase our faith, today we have a message from Jesus which says watch and pray to avoid temptation. I would rather put the message as watch out from temptation via prayer.

I can tell you by my personal life experiences that when temptation comes it is very difficult to overcome them, but when I am under the grace of God I find it very easy to crush them. We, in the flesh can not ever overcome the work of Satan. But when we via our spirit submit to the grace of God, Satan and his work has no power over us.

Grace is nothing we can earn or demand. It is God's will to pour out His grace over us or not. Therefore when we sense weakness of the flesh or temptation around us, we should immediately get down in prayer with the Lord and cry out for His grace.

We should also pray everyday that we receive the mercy of God and are not put to his test.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You are my God and my Father. In my flesh, Father I am weak. It is only by your grace that I can overcome the adversary and his works. Father, I pray You keep me away from all temptation and do not leave me to be crushed by the adversary, pour out your grace and your Spirit Father that I may crush the head of the serpent (Satan). I also pray that You do not put me to the test and have mercy on me. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
