The wicked plots and the Lord laughs at them

Psalms 37:12,13 - The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

In today's message we see the Lord encouraging us not to worry if we have people who have evil devises against us. The Lord is telling us when evil people devise against His righteous He laughs at them.

We need to understand the depth of these words as to what is means when the Lord says 'He laughs at them'. Understand if God is going to give eye for an eye or tooth for a tooth then He would not have used the words 'He laughs at them'. When He uses the words 'laughs at them' it means something that the evil person could not imagine is just over that person's head. We see such scenes in cartoons like Tom and Jerry, where Tom the cat devises evil plans against Jerry the mouse but lands up getting more hurt then he thought of inflicting on Jerry, and Jerry manages to always escape these traps either unhurt or very little hurt.

What we need to also remember that only when we are just / righteous then only we are fully protected or have the favour of God over our lives. When God calls us righteous He does not mean that we are perfect, for He knows man cannot be prefect by himself. When He calls us righteous it means we love His Law (Commandments) and try to keep it with all our hearts and all our strength.
