The Lord will speak to His people just in time

Haggai 2:1 - In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

We see in the Bible the Lord gives warnings through His messengers over the ages but in the season we see He spoke in direct words.

Last Sunday at my session I was preaching on certain serious problems which the Church is going to face as the Lord has written in the book of Lamentations. I spoke on the many senseless prayers which many Churches are making like praying for global peace or peace between unbelievers (people of the world) and Christians.

In the Bible as also warned by Jesus about the great calamities which will come in this world also Jesus warned as a Christian this world will hate you. What is written we cannot change irrespective of how much we pray or how hard we pray. We can possibly delay an event it but not cancel it.

In the Bible we see the Lord warns and is doing even now through His elect so that like the Israelites (and even some non Israelites) who followed the instructions as given by Moses during the Passover in Egypt were saved we too can be save from these calamities. The calamities if written or declared by the Lord will not disappear but will pass us if we abide by His word.

We can pray for our fellow brethren for protection when problems come, but we cannot pray for the attitude of the whole world against Christians to change. Thou we can prayer for the attitude of some specific few to change.

Gird yourself and pray for yourself, your brethren who are faint in heart and for the young also, for what the Lord declared will surely come to pass.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, we thank You for revealing Yourself to us and making us your people. We thank You for the Word which You gave us to instruct us through the desert of life. We also thank You for leading us through this life like a pillar of fire like You did to the Israelites through their Exodus. Lord open our eyes that we may see You as a pillar and follow...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scripture ]
Lamentations 2:17-18
17 The LORD hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
18 Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.
19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

Exodus 12:21-29
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
